CLE hours

Continuing Legal Education (CLE) refers to the approved continuing legal education required of North Dakota attorneys.

Attorneys are required to complete a total of 45 hours of approved credit every three years, including 3.0 hours of ethics credit.

To ensure that lawyers receive quality legal education, the State Bar sponsors CLE's and approves CLE providers and education activities.

SBAND sponsored CLE events can be found here. North Dakota Commission Approved CLE's can be found here. If you can not find the CLE you are looking for, you can fill out an Individual Attorney Application at any time to get approval for the course you attended.

If you are required to report this year, click here to print out a Report of Compliance form and mail in to the State Bar Association of North Dakota. Due dates for all Reports is June 30, of your reporting year.
