The State Bar Association North Dakota is proud to provide the best continuing legal education available. We employ a variety of media, including live seminars, symposiums, Interactive Video Network (IVN), and live online webcasts. Attorneys admitted to the State Bar Association of North Dakota must complete and report 45 hours of accredited ND CLE activities every three years, including the 3 credit hour legal ethics requirement. North Dakota attorneys must complete their ND CLE hours by June 30 and report ND CLE compliance by July 31.

North Dakota CLE Requirement

Total ND CLE Credits Required: 45

North Dakota Specialty Requirement
Legal Ethics: 3 credit hours.

ND CLE Compliance Requirements
Reporting Cycle: 3 years
CLE Compliance Deadline: June 30
CLE Reporting Deadline: July 31



North Dakota attorneys may satisfy up to fifteen (15) CLE credit hours each compliance period through self-study. No more than fifteen (15) total credit hours may be obtained through self-study ND CLE courses. Visit the SBAND Seminars page for a wide range of CLE programs and materials.
