Attorneys admitted to the State Bar Association of North Dakota must complete and report 45 hours of accredited ND CLE activities every three years, including the 3 credit hour legal ethics requirement. Individuals may claim no more than 30 hours of credit by self-study during a reporting period. Members receiving credit hours in excess of the 45 hour minimum taken during the three year reporting period may carry forward a maximum of 15 hours to the next reporting period. No ethics hours may be carried forward.
North Dakota attorneys must complete their ND CLE hours by June 30 and report ND CLE compliance by July 31.

Legal Ethics: 3 credit hours.

Reporting Cycle: 3 years

Self-Study
North Dakota attorneys may satisfy up to thirty (30) CLE credit hours each compliance period through self-study. No more than thirty (30) total credit hours may be obtained through self-study ND CLE courses. Visit the SBAND Seminars page for a wide range of CLE programs and materials.
Carry-Over Credits
