When A Lawyer Needs A Lawyer
There are times when lawyers seek representation by other lawyers, lest they have, as the adage goes, a fool for a client. This program will discuss common situations where a lawyer may need to be the client, including personal legal matters, disciplinary complaints, malpractice claims, ethical dilemmas, business transactions and partnership disputes. Participants will also learn how to deal with ethical issues that can arise in lawyer-lawyer representation, including potential conflicts of interest, confidentiality, and client communications/disclosure issues.

Brent Edison is an attorney with the Vogel Law Firm's Fargo office, where his practice focuses on professional discipline matters, legal malpractice defense and civil litigation.
