Time: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Trademarks are the lifeblood of a company’s public perception and the bedrock of their brand. Mistakes made in clearing or enforcing a trademark can lead to untold damage and disruption to a client’s goodwill and reputation. In this program, we’ll explore some of the most common trademark-related issues encountered by business clients. From knowing when to search and register a new trademark, to writing or responding to a cease and desist letter, to negotiating settlements in trademark disputes, we’ll cover the most common issues and how to advise clients around them. Attention will also be paid to international trademark considerations for clients having a worldwide presence.

This program will be valuable to anyone working with businesses or organizations that have brands they seek to protect. No prior experience with trademark law will be expected.
