12th Annual Run for Justice : The Photos

They came for the fun, they came for the food, they came for the fresh air, and they came for the fitness on a glorious snowy April morning. And some probably just came for the cool t-shirt and door prizes.

168 walkers, runners and in-line skaters “ran for justice” in the State Bar Association of North Dakota’s 12th annual Run for Justice race on April 30, 2005 at Sertoma Park. 34 families came together for the annual fund-raising event follows the beautiful Missouri River, past the zoo and through the park. The State Bar Association seeks to make “access to justice” available to all people, not only those with the ability to pay. Each year Run for Justice helps raise money for the State Bar Association’s Volunteer Lawyer Program. In this program, North Dakota lawyers donate their services to provide legal help to low-income people around the state. The money raised in the Run for Justice is used to pay the program’s expenses such as filing fees, transcript costs and other necessary legal expenses that the clients cannot afford.
