The Board of Governors is now accepting applications and nominations for three openings on the Disciplinary Board. The terms of David Maring [South Central Judicial District], Michael Thomas [Southeast Judicial District], and Lolita Romanick [Northeast Central Judicial District], will expire on December 31, 2008. Ms. Romanick of Grand Forks is eligible for reappointment.
Under Rule 2.1, North Dakota Rules of Lawyer Discipline, the Board of Governors will submit a list of three practicing lawyers from the South Central Judicial District, three practicing lawyers from the Southeast Judicial District and three practicing lawyers from the Northeast Central Judicial District to the Supreme Court for appointment. If you wish to be considered for nomination or to nominate a practicing lawyer from these districts, please send a letter and resume to Bill Neumann at the SBAND office or by email to: info@sband.org by Friday, October 17, 2008.

Sherry Mills Moore’s term expires on January 1, 2009; she is eligible for reappointment. The State Board of Law Examiners prefers to a appoint licensed lawyer who has previously served on the Disciplinary Board and/or one of the Inquiry Committees.
