UND School of Law and SBAND are proudly hosting a 6.0 Commercial Law CLE Session on Tues, June 10 at the Law School.

Presenters include John Foster, Lynn Crooks, Roger Minch and Richard P. Olson. Topics of discussion will include pre-suit and early suit collection strategies, finding debtor assets to satisfy collection, creditors’ rights and agricultural law, Soldiers & Sailors Relief Act, bank suspicious activity reports, and attorney professionalism.

Items needed for the North Dakota Bar Foundation Silent Auction on June 12, 2008
It’s that time of the year again—time to think about what you or your firm will contribute to the Bar Foundation silent auction at the Association’s annual meeting!

The North Dakota Bar Foundation will be holding a silent auction in conjunction with the Foundation reception at 6:30 pm on Thursday evening, June 12, 2008, at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks. Margaret Lee and Diane Peterson have once again graciously volunteered to organize this fun event and auction proceeds will support the Foundation=s scholarship and grant programs.

Once again we are calling upon lawyers and law firms from across the state to join in the fun. We are hoping you will find something unique to donate to the Foundation auction. If you would like to give a cash donation rather than an item, please specify whether you want your gift to be used to purchase an item for the auction or given directly to the Foundation. All gifts are tax deductible and will be acknowledged in The Gavel.

We are asking for commitments by June 1st, if possible. We can make arrangements to pick-up items, so don't let distance be a hindrance. So, when you have decided on your gift, contact Jeanne Schlittenhard at the Association office. (800.472.2685 or 701.255.1404).
