| A partner is an agent for the partnership in transacting its business and has the authority to do whatever is necessary to carry on the business in the ordinary manner [,and for this purpose, may bind co-partners by an agreement in writing]. An act or omission of one partner in furtherance of the partnership business is the responsibility of all the partners [even if the others were unaware of the act or omission]. A partner is liable jointly and severally for all obligations of the partnership [unless otherwise agreed by the claimant or provided by law]. |
