  • A vehicle may not be driven to the left side of the roadway under any of the following conditions:

     

    1) While approaching or upon the crest of a grade or a curve in the highway where the driver's view is obstructed within such distance as to create a hazard in the event another vehicle approaches from the opposite direction;

     

    2) While approaching within one hundred (100) feet [30.48 meters] of or traversing any intersection or railroad grade crossing;

     

    3) When the view is obstructed upon approaching within one hundred feet [30.48 meters] of any bridge, viaduct, or tunnel.

     

    The foregoing limitations do not apply upon a one-way roadway, under the conditions described in NDJI C - 3.42, Drive on Right Side of Roadway - Exceptions, or to the driver of a vehicle turning left into or from an alley, private road, or driveway.
