• 2001 - Damages for Future Detriment Reduced to Present Worth
  • C-70.52
    • Damages
    • Damages
  • In computing the damages for pecuniary loss or detriment which, by reason of the injury, the Plaintiff will suffer in the future, you should take into account the present value of that future loss or detriment and reduce the gross amount of the damages to its present worth. The present worth of damages for future loss or detriment is the sum which, with interest at rates that may reasonably be expected, will equal the amount of the future loss or detriment at the time it occurs.
